Let me preface this by saying that, contrary to what this blog might make you believe, I am extremely excited to be a homeowner. I am also very lucky because one of my best friends is a real estate agent and made the process 1000x easier for us. With all of that being said, of course the process was anything but easy so I figured I would share some of our experiences.  Alas, here it is: a list of things I learned during the process of buying/moving into our first home...  1)  Buying a house is the perfect opportunity to learn how much money you DON’T have  For the past two years, my wife and I have been paying much more than we would like for rent. Rain On Your Wedding Day

It was a picturesque spring day on May 27, 2018 when two perfectly poised brides to be gracefully prepped themselves for the wedding they had always dreamed of - one filled with flowers, beautiful veils, and an elegant first dance. Ha! Yeah right. If that was really how my life went, why would anyone want to read this blog? Ok... let’s be honest, you probably still don’t really want to read this blog, but it’s at least good for a ‘glad it wasn’t me’ or ‘hey I’m not the only one’ laugh. Let’s start from the beginning and tell you how this rainy day in May actually went.
